Lucinda first took up the game at the age of 11, through her father’s influence, being one of three daughters, she quotes “he had to get one of us playing to give him a good reason to play at every opportunity, as a result I picked it up pretty quickly and his game improved too!”.
After finishing her A-levels she studied and completed one year in the United States on a fully funded golf scholarship at Western Carolina University, followed by three years at the University of Birmingham, England. It was at Birmingham University where she obtained her PGA coaching qualifications, studying the unique ‘Applied Golf Management Studies’ degree run in partnership with the Professional Golfers’ Association. This led her to her first teaching position when she became the first female professional to teach in Egypt, after accepting the role of Head Teaching Professional at Taba Heights Golf Resort in 2008.
Following the luxury of Egypt, Lucinda returned to the UK to develop the ladies game, and where better than at one of the largest ladies membership clubs in the UK – The Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club in the heart of Richmond, South West London. She spent just over 5 years building a strong ladies following and soon branched on to more than just golf coaching and organises fun ladies training trips all over the world. She is now based at Burhill Golf Club, Walton on Thames, Surrey, where she runs clinics, golf events, on course management and individual lessons in between her increasingly popular golf training bootcamps all over the world.
